Urban Trans came to Concept Office Interiors in need of an office space that would suit their growing requirements. They choose a site right in the heart of the bustling transport area of Melbourne, which was a perfect site for them.
They were enthusiastic and engaged throughout the entire design process, especially about achieving a fitout that translated the same professionalism and sustainability that their brand stood for.
The finished and clean office tenancy was stripped back to bare all, ceiling ducting, mechanical and concrete flooring was exposed in the high traffic areas. They wanted a fun and collaborative environment that was expressed throughout the open plan workstations. A bright coloured Urban Trans green was used on the workstation screens along with exposed umbilical power cabling and bright yellow coloured walls that all conveyed that fun office feel. Funky vinyl flooring was chosen to brighten up the breakout space to express the fun social side of the office. The entire office consisted on only one boardroom room, which was used for all meetings. Two small phone booths were built into a yellow shipping container for the private quick quiet phone calls.
The ideas and visions Urban Trans stands for were evoked through the spatial design and finishes of the overall office fit out.
